Evolution of Gita Bodh
This book is based on 30 years of research of Bhagavad Gita in particular and Vedanta in general by the author, who himself is a successful corporate executive.
Uday studied the Bhagavad Gita and various Vedantic texts like Upanishads and Prakarana Granthas, verse by verse, in depth under Pujya Swamiji over about three decades. However, he faced the challenge that probably many seekers face. There was a huge exposure but it was difficult to digest and corelate all the inputs and have a grand crystal-clear synthesized view of the entire knowledge! This led him to undertake a mammoth exercise to analyse and synthesise the whole body of knowledge, specifically the Bhagavad Gita.
The rigorous Scientific Analytical Process
It is here that Uday’s study of Vedanta and his analytical mind equipped with modern methods of analysis, synthesis and validation, which he had mastered and practiced as a part of his Management, Industrial Engineering and Software Professions were of great help. He used these effectively, to analyse and get to the core of this profound wisdom and came up with the Conceptual Model of Gita. He painstakingly constructed it and tested the model for completeness, accuracy and internal consistency.

Use of modern Analytical methods to decode The Bhagavad Gita and to ensure objectivity
Various modern analytical methods like Affinity analysis, Flow chart, Venn Diagram, Class analysis, Gap Analysis, Traceability, Hierarchy, Matrix, Entity Relationship Diagram were used for this exercise. It greatly helped to conduct objective analysis and ensure faultless conceptual model which is true to original text and free of personal bias and interpretation.
The Result
The result of this unique analytical approach was very revealing. It helped to resolve many seemingly mysterious or confusing areas and brought out complete clarity, connecting all the individual concepts with full harmony. The rigorous objective analysis also ensured unique and precise conclusions and demolished many misunderstandings generally prevalent about the Bhagavad Gita.
The resultant insight in the conceptual form of the Bhagavad Gita is unique and probably, the first of its kind. It presents the essence of learning from the Bhagavad Gita in a precise and complete form.
The Book Was Born
With this insight and concept by concept approach, for past several years, Uday has been conducting sessions in corporate and social forums. People from various backgrounds and various faiths have found these sessions very revealing and simple to grasp the vision of the Bhagavad Gita. Even the participants who had no exposure to the subject, found that they were able to grasp the vast and subtle knowledge completely and with clarity in just about 15 hours total. On the other hand, those who had been studying Gita and other Vedantic texts extensively, found that they could connect all the pieces together and get a complete integrated view, giving the much-needed clarity.
Then came the demand for a book with such a unique concept by concept presentation. This led to writing the book – Gita Bodh!
The whole journey took about 3 decades of work. During this entire journey, he had the guidance of his Sadguru, who validated all his findings from time to time and gave valuable guidance. The book as well as Gita Bodh Sessions have been highly appreciated and people from all the walks of life have found these to be extremely useful.
The Book Release
The Book ‘Gita Bodh’ by Uday Karanjkar (AVP Persistent systems limited) was released in Devang Mehta Auditorium on 22nd September 2015 to the packed audience at the auspicious hands of author’s Sadguru and Dr Anand Deshpande, Founder, CEO and MD of Persistent Systems Ltd.
